Who Founded Winamp?

On April 21, 1997, Winamp, which was acquired by AOL under the Time Warner company, is a music player program that still has a wide user base today. Used as a media player on Android, desktop computers, and similar devices, Winamp contains many plug-ins and skins. Users can quickly download and activate these appearance options determined according to their own preferences.

Having many language options such as Russian, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese, primarily English and German, Winamp’s playback formats include MP3, WAV, MP4, MIDI, MOD, and similar ones. This music player program, which used the Ogg Vorbis playback option for the first time, is also compatible with 5.1 Surround sound systems.

Allowing automatic download of Podcast content, Winamp has overshadowed Windows Media Player with the breadth of its database querying. Announcing on January 14, 2014, that it would not completely close the Winamp site, the AOL company sold a portion of its shares to Radionomy. Today, appearing likely to excite the listener audience again with new usage features and interface system, Winamp’s license is closed source.
